Approach to prepare for job interview in Software Engineering

Introspect yourself:

First thing what you need to do is to check whether you are  good in any technology or in any  programming language. You should be good in at least one programming language C or Java or Python or Php or something.
If no, then don't try to give interview. There will be  no use of giving interviews without having technical skills. Usually it is said that, when you start giving interviews, automatically you will gain confidence and experience. While giving interview you will not be confident as you are technically weak and this will degrade your confidence level.  You will see many  giving interviews since 1 year, 2 years and frustrated in life, because of lack of technical skills. So don't get into same boat.
Now you know what not to do.

Here is what to do:

A small step into a different right  path will take to you to a better destination. so first be good at something, note that I am not asking to be best. Then start giving interviews. This experience will give you more confidence and helps to get job soon.
